Medical Records Technician

Duties:
To procure, index and track records, and records requests, in support of clinical decision-making required to meet the Army National Guard Soldier's health and human service's needs.
The ideal candidate assigned to this requirement shall possess the required technical skills and expertise to perform the functions with minimum guidance.
These duties include:
Responsible for completing HIPAA Training annually and maintains patient confidentiality.
Responsible for tracking medical records of ALL assigned Soldiers.
Responsible for administrative medical charting regarding records in eCase.
Request profile exams/evaluations and audiology exams at physical exam center.
Attend Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) events as determined by the needs of the state and the individual units.
Regularly check emails throughout the business day and respond in a timely fashion.
An out of office response is required anytime the employee is not working on a scheduled day.
Check voicemail throughout the business day and respond within 24 hours.

Ensure Soldiers referred by a provider are briefed on records collection SOP.
Ensure all medical documentation received from the Soldier and/or their medical team is received and placed in appropriated electronic record, as well as the Soldier's hard copy record.
Maintain soldier medical records in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 40-66 and maintain a tracking log.
Obtain release of information signed by the soldier for the release or collection of medical records.
Upload medical documents of Soldiers into Health Readiness Record (HRR).
Stamp all medical documents for verification after uploading Index uploaded medical documents in HRR, and print or email a complete copy upon request.
Track medical appointments by communication with unit to ensure Soldier attendance and submission of follow up documentation.
Communicate with delegated government personnel to track medical record submission compliance versus noncompliance.
The Government will provide training necessary to utilize medical the data base (MEDPROS, MEDCHART).
Maintain and file extraneous medical records as required.

Camp Fretterd Military Reservation, Building 205, at 5555 Rue Saint Lo Drive, Reisterstown, MD 21136Hours of work:
Routine coverage is required between the hours of 0630 thru 1700 Tuesday through Friday except on recognized US holidays or when the Government facility/installation is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government-directed facility/installation closings.
Occasional work will be required on a Saturday or Sunday, or both.
The work week will not exceed 40 hours.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
