MDS/PPS Coordinator Floater

Overview:
At FutureCare our MDS/PPS Coordinators are part of our interdisciplinary team of nurses who play a vital role in adequately collecting and assessing data on our residents to ensure specific elements are encoded in the MDS and submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
This floater position will be based out of Cherrywood but address multiple locations.

Responsibilities:
Sign-On Bonus $7,500 APPLY TODAY! Lead and direct the completion of the resident assessment and schedules the care planning process in accordance with Federal and State guidelines for a resident within FutureCare's adult/geriatric population Assures accuracy and completeness of entire residents' medical record Manages the completion of MDS to ensure they are within HCFA and Medicare guidelines Facilitate MDS electronic submission to occur per State regulations Participates in family/resident care plan conferences Communicates with other departments as it relates to medical record documentation Educates nursing staff on documentation requirements for reimbursement Lead interdisciplinary team meetings, triple check, QA, and PPS
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience in the healthcare and/or marketing field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
The ability to work independently, as well as part of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Excellent interpersonal skills to relate appropriately to families, residents, physicians, referral sources, department heads, community and governmental agency representatives.
The ability to gather, manage, and verify confidential financial and health related information.
The ability to expand and maintain a solid patient referral base.
Excellent ability to market the services of the facility to the community.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
