Responsibilities
Bookkeeper
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining the financial records of the apartment community. He/She will verify, allocate and post details of business transactions to accounts or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs and computer printouts. Other duties include collections, maintenance of resident information systems and resident files and performing account reconciliations.
Maintain the rental account for property
Responsible for all credit card transactions
Handle all invoices, security deposit dispositions input into computer daily
Input all rents and electrical payments and billings
Assist with renewals as needed
Responsible for communicating with residents on late fees and eviction notices
Assist in maintaining general files and an organized office at all times
Reconciles and balances accounts
Computes, types and mails monthly statements to customers
Compiles reports to show statistics such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss and other items pertinent to operation of property
Assist Manager with any request work to be done on property
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Associates degree (AA, AS) and 2 years of the related experience
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets, Property Management and/or General Accounting software and Word processing software

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
