Ice Resurfacer Operator / Maintenance
Under the supervision of the General Manager, maintains all equipment, including the ice surface and ensures facility safety for employees and patrons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintains a clean and safe facility at all times
Executes policies and procedures professionally and accurately
Practices excellent customer service
Performs general maintenance tasks at facility including preventative maintenance
Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance of ice resurfacer and edger.
Practices safe operating techniques as specified by STAR for blade changes, driving, resurfacing, handling, and inspection of machines
Knowledgeable in gauging ice depth, flooding technique, use of wash water, and initiating maintenance
Accurately records all ice and equipment maintenance and readings daily
Responsible for completing daily and weekly reports for ice maintenance and facility maintenance
Performs any other related or similar duty as assigned
WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS
Work is performed in several settings:
A recreational facility
Working indoors and outdoors
Facilities which include working on ice
This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, running, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling and ice skating.
MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT USED
Standard office equipment that includes computers, fax and copy machines, and telephones. Maintenance and cleaning equipment that include ice resurfacers, ice maintenance equipment, skate sharpeners, vacuums, mops, and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School graduate or equivalent
Knowledgeable about equipment maintenance and repairs
Ice resurfacing experience and ice maintenance experience
Proficient ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
Experience in facility maintenance and operations is preferred
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ice resurfacers must have valid drivers license

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
